High N' Wicked Cask Strength Rye is a five-year-old Kentucky straight rye, distilled at New Riff Distilling from a mash bill of 91% rye and 9% malted barley. It is a sour mash whisky, distilled in copper column stills and doublers.
It matured in seasoned, medium-toast, number 4 char American white oak barrels from Missouri, and was bottled at cask strength without chill filtration. This is a small-batch, limited release.
The nose combines cherry, citrus zest, apple pie, cinnamon, caramel and fresh tarragon. The palate moves from a sweet start to caramelised citrus, pear, honey, baking spice and black pepper, with a long, clean, subtly sweet finish.
