This is a single grain Irish whiskey from County Cork, made from a mash of 95% French maize and 5% Irish malted barley. It is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in casks that held Foursquare's Mark X 2007 Barbados rum. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
The nose offers coconut, lemon peel, almond, nougat and vanilla, with mango and candied pineapple. The palate is rich and sweet, with clove, cinnamon, caramel and candied hazelnuts. The finish is gentle, with a soft note of custard.
