High N' Wicked Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

A straight bourbon from High N' Wicked, aged for a minimum of five years in new 53-gallon American white oak barrels with a number 4 char and a medium toast. The mash bill is high in rye: 51% corn, 39% rye and 10% malted barley, made as a sweet mash. The nose opens with leather, pipe tobacco and rich oak, alongside baked blackberry and berry pie, caramelised orange peel and a lingering cinnamon and pepper spice. Dark cocoa and cherries emerge with time, over vanilla, caramel and butterscotch. The palate is full and creamy, with firm tannins and a light spice. Baked fruit gives way to baking spice and orange, sweet at first but dry and bold overall.
