High Plains Rye Whiskey (75cl, 48.5%)

High Plains Rye is an American rye whiskey blended by Jim Rutledge, former master distiller at Four Roses, and bottled at 48.5%. It combines whiskey from four distilleries: MGP in Indiana, Middle West in Ohio, Kentucky Artisan in Kentucky and New York Distilling Co. in New York. The nose puts rye front and centre, with oak in the background and a character like rye bread. The palate balances sweet baking spices, toasted oak and rye grain with a sweetness from the wood. The finish carries cloves, brown sugar and cinnamon.
