A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 14 is a High West blend of straight rye whiskeys aged between 4 and 10 years. It starts from the distillery's Rendezvous Rye and is bottled at 49.3% in Park City, Utah, in a 750ml bottle.
This release marks 20 years of High West. The blend is finished in Ruby and Tawny port barrels, and for this anniversary Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks are added.
The nose brings wild strawberries, blackberry lemon preserves, honeycomb, sandalwood and warm figs. On the palate there are blood orange, cherry fruit leather, plum crumble, quince jam, dried mint and toasted hazelnuts. The finish is rich and vibrant, with jam and spiced chai.
