High West A Midwinter Night's Dram is a limited-release blend of two straight rye whiskeys, finished in port and French oak barrels and bottled at 49.3% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
One rye is a 95% rye mashbill sourced from MGP in Indiana; the other is 80% rye and 20% malted rye, distilled at High West in Park City, Utah. The blend, aged up to 16 years, rests first in ruby port barrels and then in French oak.
Blackberry, dark cherry, fig and cinnamon feature on the nose. The palate offers plum, cherry compote, orange peel and peppery rye spice. The finish is long and spiced, with clove, candied ginger and dark chocolate.
