High West American Prairie Bourbon is a blend of straight bourbons aged between 2 and 13 years, all matured in new, charred American oak. It comes from High West Distillery in Park City, Utah, and is bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The whiskey is not chill-filtered and not carbon-treated. One component has a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% barley malt. A portion of after-tax profits from the bourbon goes to the American Prairie Reserve.
It is typically described with light caramel and sweet vanilla on the nose, then a rich, earthy palate of candy corn, honey nougat, cornbread and pecan pie, and a finish of vanilla and caramel apple.
