High West Bourbon (46%)

A blend of straight bourbon whiskeys from High West Distillery, bottled at 46% (92 proof). The whiskeys are aged for a minimum of two years in charred white American oak barrels, and the bourbon is never chill-filtered or carbon-treated. High rye mash bills are used throughout, which gives an earthy complexity with a little spice. The mash bills include a 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley recipe from MGP, and another of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. The nose is light caramel and sweet vanilla. The palate is rich and earthy, with candy corn, honey nougat and sweet cornbread biscuits, and the finish carries vanilla, caramel apple and pecan pie.
