High West Bourye is a blend of straight bourbons and straight ryes, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. This is the 2018 batch of the brand's original blend, first released in 2009.
The bourbons come from MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The ryes come from MGP and from High West's own distillery in Park City, Utah. The whiskeys in the blend are aged between 10 and 19 years, and it is bottled non-chill filtered.
The nose is dark cherry, toasted oak and brown sugar. On the palate, cinnamon, clove and black pepper sit over mature bourbon sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with caramel, leather and dried fruit.
