Bourye is a blend of straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys from High West Distillery in Park City, Utah. It is a limited release, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle.
The blend draws on four mashbills, two rye and two bourbon, and every whiskey in it is at least ten years old. It is non-chill-filtered.
The nose offers ripe banana and red fruits, then vanilla-caramel and dusty oak. On the palate, brown sugar and vanilla give way to nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, black tea and ginger. The finish is medium in length and warm, with vanilla, barrel char, black tea and a last touch of ginger.
