High West Campfire is a blended whiskey from Park City, Utah, bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It combines straight rye whiskey, straight bourbon whiskey and blended malt Scotch whisky.
The bourbon supplies sweetness and the rye spice, while the peated Scotch whisky adds the smoke that gives the blend its name.
On the nose, campfire smoke sits over caramel, vanilla and rye spice. The palate opens with a sweet bourbon entry, moves to spicy rye in the middle and carries peaty smoke throughout. The finish is long, warming and smoky, with sweetness fading away.
