High West Campfire (75cl)

High West Campfire is a blend of three whiskies in a 75cl bottle: a straight bourbon, a straight rye and a peated blended malt Scotch. All of them are five years old or more. The bourbon is made from 75 percent corn, 20 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley, and the rye from 95 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley. The idea came from the then distillery owner, Jim Perkins, who smelled peat at a Bruichladdich B&B, where a dessert of honeydew melon came with peated whiskey syrup. The nose is floral and fruity with caramel, butterscotch and light smoke. The palate offers vanilla, honey, toffee, blueberries, black cherries and chai spices, and the finish is long, sweet, spicy and smoky.
