High West Cask Collection Finished in Oloroso Sherry Barrels is a limited edition American whiskey from Utah, bottled at 50% ABV. It blends straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys aged between 6 and 10 years, then finishes the blend for 11 months in Oloroso sherry barrels.
The sherry finish takes the fruit into darker, richer territory. The nose offers smoked blackberries, dates, waffles, vanilla bean and amaro. On the palate come blood orange, cherry compote, caramel shortbread with dark chocolate, puff pastry, tobacco and cinnamon bark, closing on spiced baked apple with custard.
