High West Cask Collection Oloroso Sherry Finish is an American whiskey blended from straight bourbon and straight rye, aged between 6 and 10 years, from High West Distillery in Park City, Utah. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
The blend is finished for 11 months in second-use Oloroso sherry barrels.
The palate is bold, with blood orange reduction, cherry compote and caramel shortbread drizzled with dark chocolate, along with hints of puff pastry, tobacco and cinnamon bark. The finish brings spiced baked apples and crème anglaise.
