High West Double Rye is a Utah rye whiskey in a 750ml bottle. It is a blend of two different rye whiskeys, made to be twice as spicy as an average rye, with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in mind.
On the nose there is mint, clove, cinnamon, liquorice root, pine nuts and dark chocolate, with gin botanicals running through it. The palate opens with rye spice, then moves to menthol, mint and eucalyptus, followed by herbal tea with wildflower, honey and allspice. The finish begins with cinnamon and mint, sweetens gradually and ends with a hint of aniseed.
