High West Double Rye is a blend of straight rye whiskeys from High West Distillery in Park City, Utah. It pairs a two-year-old rye with an older one, and the ryes are aged for a minimum of two years in new, charred American white oak barrels.
It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 1.75 litre bottle.
Cinnamon, ginger and clove lead the palate, followed by mint, eucalyptus, juniper, herbal tea and wildflower honey. The finish carries caramel sweetness, woody vanilla and a hint of anise.
