High Country is an American single malt from High West, distilled in copper pot stills in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah and bottled at 44% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was the first single malt High West made entirely from its own distillate.
The mash is 100% malted barley, distilled on the grain and matured for a minimum of two years, with components aged between two and nine years, in new charred oak and second-use barrels. It is bottled unfiltered in small annual batches.
The nose brings vanilla cream and maple syrup. The palate shows honeydew melon with raw honey, dulce de leche, praline, shortbread, raisin cookies and tobacco.
