High West Rendezvous Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Rendezvous Rye was the first whiskey released by High West, which opened in Park City, Utah, in 2006. It is a blend of two high-rye mash bills: an MGP whiskey of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and High West's own pot-still distillate of 80% rye and 20% malted rye. The whiskeys are aged between 4 and 9 years. The name recalls the Rendezvous, the annual gathering of mountain men in Utah's Cache Valley between 1825 and 1840. The label art is by the Western landscape painter Ed Mell. It is typically described as bold spice, ginger and cinnamon over molasses, vanilla and toasted oak, with raspberry, boysenberry, cocoa and dried fruit.
