High Wire Distilling – Jimmy Red Bottled in Bond Straight Bourbon

This is a bottled in bond straight bourbon from High Wire Distilling in Charleston, South Carolina. The distillery was founded by the husband and wife team of Scott Blackwell and Ann Marshall to bring small-batch craft spirits to the state. It works from a 23,000-square-foot warehouse on Huger Street, where a hand-hammered copper still stands at the centre of the production area. Scott Blackwell trained as a baker at the Culinary Institute of America, and applies that knowledge of artisanal grains to the spirits, with a focus on local ingredients.
