This is a single malt distilled in 2007 and matured for 19 years in refill hogsheads. Thompson Bros of Dornoch bottled it at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky comes from an island distillery and is the final release from the bottler's stock of this malt, following their 18 year old. The refill casks let the character of the spirit come through, and the whisky is gently peated.
Expect heather smoke, coastal minerality, citrus fruit, honeyed malt and earthy peat.
