Highland Park 11 Year Single Cask Series is a single malt from Kirkwall, Orkney, drawn from one refill hogshead, cask 2776. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022, and 306 bottles were filled at 64.7% ABV.
Highland Park uses Orkney heathered peat from Hobbister Moor, and the refill hogshead leaves room for the malt, fruit, spice and aromatic smoke of the distillery to show.
The nose has honeyed sweetness, vanilla, dried fruit, gentle oak and peat smoke. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with caramelised sugar, dark chocolate, dried fruit, baking spice and a subtle maritime note. The finish is long and warming, with orange peel, toasted nuts, honey, spice, oak and aromatic smoke.
