This is Highland Park 12 Year Old, a single malt from the distillery on Orkney. It spent 12 years in a combination of sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks and is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery uses locally cut heather peat, which gives a lightly smoky character. The whisky is usually described as balancing heather honey sweetness, aromatic peat smoke and warming spice.
