Highland Park 15 Years Old Viking Heart is an Orkney single malt in the Viking Heart series, presented in a ceramic bottle. It was created by Highland Park master blender Gordon Motion and is bottled at 44%.
The whisky matures in first-fill European oak sherry seasoned casks and first-fill American oak sherry seasoned casks, together with refill casks. Its light golden colour is natural, coming from the casks.
The nose is warm cinnamon, soft heather peat smoke, vanilla and shortcake. On the palate are sun-ripened lemon peel, fresh pineapple and heather honey, ending in balanced peat smoke.
