This is a 16-year-old Highland Park single malt from Orkney, bottled at 48% as part of the distillery's Between You and I series. It was created in collaboration with the Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén, and the project centres on taste.
The whisky was matured for 16 years in a combination of new Swedish oak, ex-bourbon and sherry-seasoned oak casks. Instead of tasting notes, the bottle carries a set of prompts for each drinker to work through.
Orchard fruits, baking spices and a subtle smoke are the flavours to look out for.
