Highland Park 17 Year Old Between You and I is a single malt made at Highland Park Distillery on Orkney, bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It was created with Laila Gohar, the Egyptian-born, New York-based culinary artist, with Master Whisky Maker Marc Watson building the whisky around Gohar's own story.
Watson sampled more than 80 casks. The spirit spent its first 11 years in refill ex-Sherry casks, then finished in highly active, unseasoned American oak, chosen to bring out orange blossom, leather and warming spice.
Expect subtle orange blossom and rich honey on the nose, then warm baking spices and a gentle, sweet campfire smoke on a full-bodied, silky palate.
