This is an 18-year-old single cask single malt from Highland Park, the latest in the distillery's annual series of single cask releases. It was unveiled in the summer of 2023. Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion selected Cask No. 4099, and 515 bottles were filled.
The whisky was laid down in 2003 in a first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak butt and bottled in 2022. It has a deep ruby colour.
Oak, ginger, nutmeg and peat lead the palate. The finish brings woody spices, liquorice and vanilla.
