This is a limited edition single cask Highland Park from the 2022 Single Cask Series, matured for 18 years and bottled at 60% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single first-fill, sherry-seasoned European oak cask, number 4391, and only 565 bottles were filled.
Highland Park dries its barley over Orkney peat, which gives the whisky a heathery touch.
The nose is fresh pear, ginger and sweet banana. The palate offers burnt cedar, spice, clove, toffee, gingerbread and liquorice. The long finish adds citrus peel and peat smoke.
