Highland Park 18 Year Old is a single malt from Orkney, bottled at 43% ABV. It was matured largely in first-fill sherry casks made from both European and American oak.
The whisky reflects the distillery's five cornerstones of production, which include aromatic peat from Hobbister Moor, hand-turned floor malting and European oak sherry casks.
It has a burnished gold colour. Tasting notes describe rich, mature oak with chocolate and cherry, and a top note of aromatic smoke. The palate is full and honeyed, with chocolate and peat. The finish is soft, round and long, with a whisper of peat and a touch of sea salt.
