Highland Park – 18 Year Old Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is Highland Park's 18 year old single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spends at least 18 years maturing in oak casks, and the colour is a bright gold. The distillery's peat, used to dry the grain, is said to have taken up salt over the centuries and to give the whisky a heathery touch. The nose is fruity and lightly smoky, with honey and new oak. The palate is honeyed, with vanilla and tobacco, and the finish is fresh and lightly spiced.
