This is an 18 year old single malt from Highland Park on Orkney, a travel exclusive bottling in the Land, Sea and Sky of Orkney series. It was inspired by the rugged landscape and Norse history of the islands, and it is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill-filtration.
It matured in first-fill, sherry-seasoned casks of American oak. The character is sweet, spicy and subtly smoky, shaped by the heather peat of the islands, with a balance of soft sweetness and fine smoke.
