This is a 40 year old single malt from Highland Park on Orkney, distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2022 in the Private Collection range from Gordon & MacPhail. It comes in a 70cl bottle and is amber in colour.
The nose combines lightly smoky peat with heather honey, ripe fruit, vanilla and cinnamon, with dark chocolate and a hint of citrus behind. On the palate it is rich and full, balancing sweetness and spice, with dried fruit, dates and figs alongside a gentle smoke. The finish is long, with old oak and a subtle, distinct peat.
