Highland Park 21 Year Old 2022 Release is an Orkney single malt in a 750ml bottle at 46% ABV. It is drawn from 14 casks laid down in 2000 or earlier: European oak hogsheads, ex-bourbon barrels and refill casks.
Highland Park has distilled in Kirkwall since 1798, and its whisky pairs heather-honey sweetness with aromatic peat smoke.
The nose has espresso coffee, dark chocolate, marmalade on toast and crushed coriander seed. On the palate, tangy ginger and oriental spice meet sweet citrus and cedar under heather-infused peat smoke. The finish is woody spice with a hint of citrus oil in the smoke.
