This is a 21-year-old single malt from Highland Park on Orkney, bottled at 46% in its natural colour. It was matured in European and American oak quarter casks, butts and hogsheads, which bring plenty of sherry-seasoned cask sweetness alongside a gentle trace of heathery peat smoke.
Official tasting notes mention cloudy honey, crème brûlée, toasted cinnamon, apricot compote, crushed almonds, lime zest, smoked lemon, sweet violets and delicate heathered peat smoke.
