This Highland Park 22 Year Old is a single cask single malt from independent bottler Fruitful Spirits, bottled at 45.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit was distilled in October 2003 and matured for 22 years in a refill hogshead, which gave 159 bottles. It is bottled at natural colour and without chill-filtration. The distillery character is described as honeyed and subtly smoky.
The nose has light, heathery peat with golden syrup and malt loaf. On the palate come bread and butter pudding and wildflower honey, and the finish brings pear drops and crystallised ginger.
