Highland Park 25 Year Old is an Orkney single malt, bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered. It has a deep copper colour.
The whisky is matured for 25 years in about ten first-fill European sherry hogsheads, together with American sherry-seasoned hogsheads and butts and some refill casks.
Tasting notes describe dried fruits, acacia honey, crème brûlée and satsuma on the nose, with a trace of heathered peat smoke. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with coriander seed, oregano, vanilla and gentle peat, and the finish is long, sweet and woody with a little citrus peel and soft smoke.
