Highland Park 30 Year Old is a single malt from Orkney, released to mark the 180th anniversary of The Spectator magazine. Only 180 bottles were produced, each at 48.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with a commemorative label carrying Andrew Neil's signature.
The nose offers ripe plums, dried apricots and cherries, with touches of cinnamon and sage over aged oak. On the palate, fig jam and roasted almonds lead, with honey, nutmeg and a velvety texture. The finish is long and warming, with smoky peat, dark chocolate and lingering spice.
