This is a 33 year old Highland Park from 1989, matured in a single bourbon hogshead, cask #3004. It was bottled by the independent bottler Limited Whisky, part of the Whisky Partners family, and 166 bottles were made. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is deep copper. The nose offers brown sugar, toffee, salted pretzels, fruit and vanilla pod. On the palate it starts peppery, then tropical fruit, heather honey and a gentle wave of light peat smoke follow, with a rich, oily texture.
The finish is medium to long, with cinnamon and nutmeg fading slowly before citrus comes forward.
