Between You and I is a 16 year old Orkney single malt from Highland Park, made in collaboration with the chef Bjorn Frantzen. It is bottled at 48% in a 750ml bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
It was matured in virgin Swedish oak, a first for the distillery, alongside sherry-seasoned European and American oak and ex-bourbon casks. The box is a spray-paint-styled design by Frantzen, inspired by his early love of graffiti.
Trade-press notes describe warm oak spice, honey, vanilla and dried fruit on the nose. The palate brings toasted oak, honey, soft heathery smoke and gentle floral sweetness, followed by a long, oak-driven finish with maritime salt and lingering spice.
