Between You and I 17 Year Old is the second chapter in Highland Park's Between You and I series. It is a limited-edition single malt created by Master Whisky Maker Marc Watson in conversation with Egyptian-American artist and food designer Laila Gohar, and released in 2026.
The whisky spent 11 years in refill casks before a finish in 100% new American oak. It is bottled at 47.5%, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. Gohar's surrealist artwork shaped the packaging, and a booklet of short vignettes takes the place of conventional tasting notes.
Official notes mention orange blossom, warming spice and leather. Independent tastings add rich honey, baking spices and a gentle, sweet campfire smoke, with a full, silky body and Orkney peat running through it.
