Highland Park Cask Strength is a single malt from Kirkwall on Orkney, bottled without dilution at 63.3% in a 750ml bottle. It is released in numbered batches and is non-chill-filtered.
The whisky matures entirely in hand-selected sherry-seasoned casks. Highland Park has distilled since 1798, and part of its malt is dried with heathered peat from Hobbister Moor.
The nose is floral, with heather, vanilla, raisins and aromatic peat smoke. The palate is rich, with salted caramel, heather honey, orange and grapefruit zest, and a little pipe smoke. The finish is long and warming, with peat smoke, crème brûlée, walnut and baking spice.
