A limited-release Orkney single malt Scotch whisky from Highland Park, bottled at cask strength, 63.6% ABV (127.2 proof), in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from barley smoked entirely with Orkney peat and matured in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak and refill casks. Highland Park has distilled on Orkney since 1798.
The nose combines heathered peat smoke with dried apricot, orange zest, warm honey and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full-bodied, with intense smoke, sherry sweetness, vanilla, cinnamon and dried fruit. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, dark fruit, oak tannins and a little maritime salt.
