Highland Park – The Dolphins is a single malt whisky from Highland Park (Islands). Bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. Highland Park is known for being the most Northern Scotch Whisky Distillery in the world. It is situated on the outskirts of the biggest town in Orkney 58.9847°N. It is so far North it is almost in the Arctic Circle. To give you an idea, it is on the same latitude as Anchorage, Alaska. The distillery has been distilling on the same site since 1798 where the founder, Magnus Eunson's, original illicit still was at High Park. They smoke their own barley from over 4,000 year old peat which has been cut from the Hobbister Moor only seven miles from the distillery. Highland Park created THE DOLPHINS as an officially licensed product for sale in the bars and shops at The Royal Navy's Faslane base in Scotland. The 'Dolphins' badge, featuring two dolphins and a crowned anchor, is awarded to British Submariners on successful completion of what is regarded as one of the toughest courses in the world – the Submarine Command Course, aptly known as 'Perisher'.
