Valfather is the third and final release in Highland Park's Viking Legend series, inspired by the Vikings who ruled over Orkney for more than 600 years. It is named after the Norse god Odin and is said to represent Valhalla, his great hall.
The whisky was matured entirely in refill casks and is the most highly peated Highland Park to date, bottled at 47% ABV.
The nose offers sweet apple and fragrant pear. The palate brings crème brûlée, toasted cedar wood and spicy smoked paprika, all wrapped in aromatic peat smoke.
