A 16 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, bottled by Thompson Bros of Dornoch at 45.1% ABV. Six of those years were spent in ex-Moscatel wine casks.
The time in Moscatel adds to Tomatin's fruity character, with dried fruits, citrus sweetness and dark chocolate.
The nose is bright orange citrus, rich dried fruits and dark chocolate. The palate is sweet and citrus-led, with the fruit character of Moscatel cask maturation. The finish is long and waxy, with a lingering richness.
