Hinch 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish is an Irish whiskey that combines single grain and single malt whisky, each at least ten years old, drawn from selected casks in the distillery's stock. It then spent at least a year in Oloroso sherry casks. It is made in County Down and is light brown with a subtle red tint.
The nose offers ripe orchard fruit, barley sugar and vanilla, with red fruit and stewed fruit. The palate brings nougat, chocolate-covered marzipan and sultana, ending on ripe pear, lychee and nuts. The finish is long, with red berries, vanilla pod and a nutty note.
