Hinch 12 Year Old is an Irish whiskey from the Hinch Distillery, south of Belfast in Northern Ireland. It was matured for 11 years in used American oak bourbon barrels, then finished for 12 months in Masi Amarone casks. It is a limited release, bottled at 46% ABV.
The nose is floral and lush, with plums and cut flowers. The palate is balanced and generous, led by blackcurrant and elderflower, and it moves into a finish of ripe pear, black cherry and cinnamon.
