Hinch Peated is an Irish single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It matured in ex-bourbon American oak, Madeira casks and Oloroso sherry casks, which the head distiller selected for a full, robust style.
The nose is ashy smoke, like a campfire by the sea, with heather, coal and charred pineapple. On the palate, honey comes first, then black pepper and smoked rock salt, with dark chocolate to close. The finish is long, with smoky and chocolatey notes that linger.
