Hinch – Peated Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Hinch Peated Single Malt is an Irish single malt from the Hinch distillery in County Down, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It combines traditional malting with modern mashing and distillation, and has a clear note of peat smoke. It is triple distilled and bottled without added colour or chill-filtering. The smoke is balanced by a soft character. On the nose there is sweet tar, caramelised oak and wood, with complex peat and lingering fruit. A hint of liquorice comes through on the palate as the peat fades gently. The finish is notably soft.
