Hinch – Peated Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Hinch Peated Single Malt is a triple-distilled Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, at 43% abv. Peated malt is unusual among Irish whiskeys. It comes from the distillery at Ballynahinch in County Down, south of Belfast, on the Killaney Estate. The founder and distiller, Aaron Flaherty, gained experience at Bushmills among other places and is responsible for this bottling. The nose is light peat smoke with woody notes, caramel and oriental spices. On the palate come berry compote, roasted nuts, a little liquorice and gentle smoke. The finish is long, soft and smooth.
