Hinomaru Signature 1823 is a Japanese single malt marking 200 years of sake brewing by Kiuchi Sake Brewery, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled entirely at the Yasato Distillery.
The malt is partly grown in Hitachino, and the whisky is aged and blended in bourbon, rum and sherry barrels.
Floral and vanilla aromas lead to soft cereal and peach on the palate, finishing with gentle smoke and a touch of honeyed sweetness.
